Delete your MoonQ account & data

This page explains how to delete your MoonQ account and associated data, or how to remove specific data while keeping your account. MoonQ (https://moonq.ai) is the AI bedtime story app for parents and guardians.

Delete your account (in the app)

  1. Open the MoonQ app and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This permanently deletes your account and associated personal data described below.

Request account deletion by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or prefer not to use in-app deletion, email hello@moonq.ai from the address linked to your MoonQ account. Include the subject line Delete MoonQ account and we will process your request.

We typically complete deletion requests within 30 days.

Delete some data without deleting your account

You can remove specific data in the MoonQ app while keeping your account:

  • Stories: open your Library, select a story, and delete it.
  • Child profiles: open the child profile and remove it. Related story data for that profile is removed with it.

You can also request deletion of specific data by emailing hello@moonq.ai and describing what you want removed.

What is deleted

When you delete your MoonQ account, we delete:

  • Your parent account (email / sign-in identity)
  • Child profiles and preferences
  • Generated stories, narrations, and parent voice recordings stored for your account
  • Usage and account settings associated with your user record

What may be retained

  • App Store / Google Play subscriptions: store billing is separate from your MoonQ account. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. Cancel billing in your device subscription settings if needed.
  • Legal / security records: limited records may be retained when required by law, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution, and only for as long as necessary.
  • Aggregated analytics: de-identified or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.
